Sonos designed the Arc to disappear visually while commanding acoustic attention. The soundbar presents as a singular oblong form, its polycarbonate grille wrapping seamlessly around eleven internal drivers. Available in matte black or white, it slots beneath televisions without demanding focus, allowing the screen to remain the visual anchor of any room.

Inside, the driver array disperses sound with architectural intention. Forward-facing speakers handle dialogue and stereo imaging, side-firing drivers widen the soundstage beyond the physical boundaries of the unit, and upward-firing transducers bounce Dolby Atmos signals off ceilings to create genuine overhead presence. The result approaches surround sound from a single enclosure, particularly effective in medium to large living spaces with reflective surfaces.

Technical execution matches the acoustic ambition. HDMI eARC connectivity ensures lip-sync accuracy with modern televisions while supporting both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus for film and television content. Spatial audio formats extend to music streaming, transforming stereo tracks into immersive listening when supported by the source. The Arc integrates natively with the broader Sonos ecosystem, serving as the foundation for expandable configurations that might later include surrounds and a subwoofer. Trueplay tuning adapts output to room acoustics when calibrated through a compatible device.
