Oakywood crafted this set of three trays from solid wood, each sized to address different organizational needs while sharing proportions that allow nested storage when not deployed. The smallest tray holds paper clips, thumb drives, and the small items that otherwise migrate across desk surfaces. The medium accommodates pens, charging cables, and pocket contents. The largest receives phones, notebooks, and the objects that anchor daily work.
Rounded corners throughout prevent the sharp edges that catch on shirt cuffs and scratch skin during reaching motions. The interior surfaces have been sanded smooth enough that even delicate items rest without risk of abrasion, while the exterior walls present the wood grain in its natural variation. Each tray emerges from the same material batch, ensuring consistent color and figure across the set.
The finish protects against moisture and mild impacts while allowing the wood to breathe and age naturally. Over years of use, the surfaces develop the gentle wear patterns that document the particular objects each tray habitually receives. Wood responds to its environment in ways that plastic and metal cannot, warming to ambient temperature and accepting the oils from hands that produces gradual darkening at contact points.
