Samsung developed The Frame as a response to the television's awkward presence in considered interiors, recognizing that a black rectangle dominates any room where it hangs. The LS03F model addresses this through a matte display surface that eliminates the mirror-like reflections of conventional screens, allowing the panel to recede visually when displaying artwork rather than video content.

Customizable bezels attach magnetically, permitting color and material matching with existing furniture and wall treatments. This interchangeability means the television can adapt as decor evolves rather than requiring replacement or acceptance of permanent visual discord. Wall mounting positions the panel nearly flush with the surface behind it, achieving the gallery-hang appearance that makes framed art feel integrated rather than applied.

The One Connect system relocates processing hardware, power supply, and input connections to a separate box that can hide in cabinets or behind furniture. A single thin cable runs from this hub to the display, eliminating the bundle of power cords and HDMI cables that typically trail from wall-mounted televisions. This architecture also permits component upgrades without display replacement.

Samsung includes access to an art subscription service providing curated works for display during idle periods, though owners can upload personal images as well.
