Getri approached wireless charging as an opportunity for material statement rather than disposable electronics. The Flask emerges from solid aluminum billet through CNC machining processes that remove everything unnecessary until only functional geometry remains. No plastic housings, no assembled panels, no visible seams where components meet.
Heft defines the physical experience. At 920 grams, the charger outweighs typical smartphones by factors of four or five, creating an anchor that refuses movement when devices attach or detach. The mass absorbs placement forces entirely, allowing one-handed phone drops without sliding or tipping. This density also conducts heat effectively, dissipating warmth that wireless charging generates rather than trapping it against device batteries.
Dual Qi2-certified charging surfaces occupy the design, each capable of delivering 15 watts to compatible devices. The certification ensures magnetic alignment functions correctly with MagSafe-equipped iPhones and equivalent Android implementations, centering devices precisely over charging coils without trial-and-error positioning. Two phones charge simultaneously, or a phone and earbuds case, depending on daily configuration needs.
Surface finishes on the aluminum develop character gradually through handling, accepting patina rather than concealing wear. The object improves with age in ways plastic alternatives cannot replicate.
