About

Ekster approached the GRID Backpack with a clear philosophy: intelligent storage should never compromise visual restraint. The exterior presents clean lines and a subdued profile that reads as a refined daypack rather than a technical piece, yet beneath that understated shell lies a thoughtfully engineered interior. Constructed from 600D recycled polyethylene terephthalate with inherent water resistance, the fabric sheds moisture while remaining supple to the touch. Zinc alloy hardware punctuates critical stress points, providing durability without unnecessary weight, and the waterproof auto-locking zippers seal out the elements decisively.

Opening the main compartment reveals a clamshell architecture that lays flat at 180 degrees, allowing suitcase-style packing that makes locating items effortless. A dedicated laptop sleeve, suspended above the base, cradles devices up to 16 inches while providing shock absorption against drops and impacts. The interior ripstop lining in a lighter tone illuminates contents even in dim conditions, and organizational pockets in breathable mesh keep smaller essentials visible and accessible.

An upper quick-access pocket behind waterproof zipping stores sunglasses or sensitive electronics in a soft-lined compartment. Along one side, an RFID-shielded pocket secures cards and passports from electronic theft. External compression straps cinch down to maintain a streamlined form or expand to lash additional gear, whether a yoga mat, compact tripod, or outer layer. The air mesh back panel promotes ventilation during warmer commutes, while the shoulder straps, refined through testing across varied body types, distribute weight evenly for all-day comfort. A luggage pass-through sleeve accommodates rolling bags during transit, and TSA-compatible access points allow quick laptop retrieval at security checkpoints.
