Michael Anastassiades conceived the IC Lights collection as an exploration of equilibrium, and the S1 pendant embodies that pursuit in suspended form. An opal glass orb, mouth-blown by Italian artisans, rests atop a thin metallic stem that appears to defy gravity, creating an arresting visual tension between mass and delicacy. The sphere diffuses light evenly in all directions, casting a warm atmospheric glow that softens without dimming, making it equally suited for intimate dining settings or entryway moments.
Three finish options allow the fixture to adapt to different material palettes: polished brass introduces warmth and heritage, chrome delivers a cooler modernist edge, and matte black recedes into architectural backdrops. Each finish is applied with care to highlight the seamless joint where metal meets glass, a detail that rewards close inspection. The proportions reference contact juggling, where objects seem to hover against physical logic, yet the engineering behind that illusion remains invisible. Mounting hardware tucks away cleanly, leaving only the essential gesture of a balanced sphere catching and redistributing light.
