The viewfinder receives the most significant updates. The 0.72x magnification factor suits the most commonly used focal lengths in street and documentary work, while new optical coatings substantially reduce the flare that plagued earlier M cameras when shooting toward light sources. The metering system displays exposure through a simple red LED that appears in the viewfinder, requiring only that photographers center the dot between over and under indicators.
