Orion
About
Where other Nomos models embrace angular Bauhaus geometry, the Orion takes a gentler path. Its case curves inward with fluid grace, meeting a domed sapphire crystal that amplifies the sense of depth across the dial. Hour markers are reduced to slender indices, allowing negative space to dominate and the eye to rest. This is watchmaking that whispers rather than announces.
The Alpha caliber beating within represents Glashutte tradition distilled into modern form. Hand-wound and visible through a transparent caseback, its three-quarter plate and Glashutte sunburst finish reveal the meticulous hand-finishing that defines German horology. The movement's slim profile enables a case height that sits close to the wrist, disappearing beneath shirt cuffs with ease.
Available in multiple case diameters, the Orion accommodates different wrist sizes without sacrificing its essential character. Each proportion has been carefully considered to maintain visual harmony. The lugs extend organically from the case, sweeping downward to embrace the wrist rather than perching atop it. Shell cordovan and velour leather straps complement the refined aesthetic, aging gracefully alongside the timepiece.
For those drawn to classical proportions and restrained elegance over bold graphic statements, this represents Nomos at its most contemplative. It belongs equally at a gallery opening or a quiet dinner, communicating taste without demanding attention.
