Pitcher PureVis™
About
Larq approached water filtration as both a technical challenge and a design problem worth solving thoughtfully. The Pitcher PureVis integrates UV-C LED technology alongside plant-based filtration media to address contaminants while improving taste, working through a dual-stage process that purifies without the chemical aftertaste common to conventional systems.
The transparent body allows visibility into water levels while maintaining clean geometric proportions suited to contemporary kitchen environments. A digital display embedded in the lid tracks filter usage and system status, eliminating guesswork about replacement timing. The interface remains minimal, requiring little interaction beyond periodic refills.
What distinguishes this pitcher from traditional alternatives is the emphasis on reducing disposable components. The plant-based filters minimize plastic waste, and the modular construction simplifies maintenance without specialized tools or complicated disassembly. Larq engineered the system for daily use patterns, accommodating the natural rhythm of household water consumption. The footprint stays compact enough for refrigerator door storage, and the quiet lid mechanism prevents the jarring sounds typical of hinged pitcher designs. Form follows function throughout, resulting in an object that serves its purpose without demanding attention or cluttering visual space.
