This illumination system positions forty-five centimeters of aluminum-housed LEDs directly above the monitor, supported by a zinc alloy clip that grips display bezels through magnetic attachment and gravitational counterbalance. The mounting method leaves no marks and requires no tools, accommodating various monitor thicknesses while maintaining stability during adjustment.

The optical design directs light asymmetrically, casting five hundred lux across the desk surface and keyboard while preventing spill onto the screen itself. This controlled distribution protects color accuracy for design work and video editing, environments where stray reflections compromise perception of the image. The bar pivots through twenty-five degrees, allowing fine-tuning based on seated position and desk depth.

Control occurs through a separate wireless puck, sixty millimeters in diameter and milled from aluminum to match the bar's material language. Rotating the dial adjusts brightness continuously, while pressing cycles through color temperatures spanning 2700K through 6500K. This range covers the warm tones suitable for evening work, the neutral midpoint for general tasks, and the daylight simulation preferred for color-critical applications. Bluetooth Low Energy transmission extends battery life in the dial to months between AAA cell replacements.

The bar draws power through USB-C, the single cable required for operation. Anodized in matte black, the fixture recedes against dark bezels, minimizing visual presence when the focus belongs on screen content. Late sessions become sustainable without the eyestrain that inadequate ambient lighting produces, the desk illuminated evenly while the display remains uncontaminated by external light sources.
